RLPS Projects

During the HEIBus project two rounds of RLPS projects are organized each consisting of three such projects.
The first round started in September 2017 with three RLPS projects hosted by JAMK University of Applied Science (Finland) in collaboration with ITAB Shop Concept Finland, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in collaboration with Automates ACM and University of Jaén (Spain) in collaboration with Andaltec.

The topic for the project given by ITAB Shop Concept Finland focuses on developing a new innovation for customer pick-up and return of goods (or even services in some cases), based on a “click-and-collect/return” self service station. In this project JAMK (coordinator), Esslingen University of Applied Sciences (HE, Germany) and UJA are the HEI partners. The intensive week was organized from 11th to 15th of September in Jyväskylä, Finland.

The topic for the project given by Automates ACM focuses on designing a fully pneumatic portioning machine for hard and semi-hard cheese. In this project TUCLUJ (coordinator), HE and University of Miskolc (ME, Hungary) are the HEI partners. The intensive week was organized from 11th to 15th of September in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The topic for the project given by Andaltec focuses on reducing the environmental footprint through the development of new and biodegradable plastic products. In this project UJA (coordinator), JAMK and ME are the HEI partners. The intensive week was organized during from 2nd to 6th of October in Jaén, Spain.

All three projects ended in December 2017 with a Final Presentation. During these presentations the students teams presented their results to the supervisors and company representatives. Based on these presentations and the final reports the wining teams for each project were chosen.

The second round started in September 2018, and the hosting universities were Esslingen University of Applied Sciences (Germany) in collaboration with FESTOOL GmbH, University of Miskolc (Hungary) in collaboration with Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft. Hungary and University of Jaén (UJA, Spain) in collaboration with ISR.

The topic for the project given by FESTOOL GmbH focuses on creating a new mixing device by using a combined innovation process including classical and agile methods of product development. In this project HE (coordinator), UJA and ME are the HEI partners. The intensive week was organized from 24th to 28th of September in Esslingen, Germany.

The topic for the project given by Robert Bosch Power Tool Kft. Hungary focuses on developing new connected power tools for hobby and home decoration. In this project ME (coordinator), JAMK University of Applied Science (JAMK, Finland) and Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (TUCLUJ, Romania) are the HEI partners. The intensive week was organized from 17th to 21th of September in Miskolc, Hungary.

The topic for the project given by ISR focuses on design, construct and program a multisensory device to acquire agroclimatic information of olive trees or other type of crops. In this project UJA (coordinator), JAMK and TUCLUJ are the HEI partners. The intensive week was organized during from 1nd to 5th of October in Jaén, Spain.

After the intensive week the students returned home and continued to work on the project. During the semester each team organized videoconference meeting every two weeks. During these meeting the implementations results were discussed and new tasks were set for the next period. During this entire period the HEI coordinator teachers, supervised closely the students work on the project. The Final Presentations for the three RLPS projects were organized in December 2018. During these presentations the students teams presented their results to the supervisors and company representatives. Based on these presentation and the final reports the wining teams for each project were chosen.
